The JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" agreed the conditions for participation in the OptiSar constellation created by the Canadian Company UrtheCast.
The Сontract between the JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” and Urthecast - "Agreement on the creation, launch and operation of OptiSarTM satellites constellation» according to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been submitted for approval to the Board of Directors, after which it must be approved by the sole shareholder of the Company represented by "Kazkosmos".

The JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" is working on a replacement of high resolution ERS optical satellite until 2021 (KazEOSat-1, the active life time is until the end of 2021) and the addition of the Kazakh constellation by the ERS radar spacecraft.
One of the most developed option is to create its own couple of (one optical and one radar) satellites as part of the perspective international ERS satellite constellation OptiSAR which consists of 16 satellites (broken-down in pairs), created by the Canadian company UrtheSast.
Satellites parameters are exceeded the current Kazakhstan spacecrafts and on a number of parameters there are no analogues in the world.
This group will meet the needs of economic sector of Kazakhstan in ensuring the high-resolution data of satellite monitoring (radar, optical and video shooting), regardless the cloud cover and period of day, and receive the revenue from the sale of unique OptiSAR’s products in the world market as well. Besides, it is planned to involve the productive capacity of subsidiary company of the JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" – LLP "Galam" in the creation of the Canadian constellation.
According to the Head of State in his address in 2017, "it is necessary to continue the industrialization with a focus on development of competitive export industries in priority sectors, the task to increase non-resource exports twice a large by 2025 already faces the Government".
During the meeting of the MDAI employees on discussion of the third modernization of economy Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry (MDAI) also drew the attention to the industry companies to cooperate with prospective international companies introducing new innovative technologies.
