The course of construction of EXPO-2017 exhibition facilities was captured from space.

The Kazakhstan spacecraft of the Earth remote sensing space system KazEOSat-1 and the French «Pleiade» spacecraft of Airbus Defense and Space Company surveyed the territory where the construction of the facilities of the International Specialized Exhibition «EXPO-2017» was conducted in Astana in the period from 2015 to 2017. 

21 space survey of specified area (14 images from the «Pleiades» spacecraft, 7 images from the «KazEOSat-1» spacecraft) were made in total during this period. 

Kazakhstan and French specialists have jointly deciphered the data obtained from the images and created a video that reflects the dynamics of the construction of EXPO-2017 in Astana city. 

KazEOSat-1 (Kazakhstan Earth Observation Satellite), the first Kazakhstan Earth remote sensing satellite, which was launched from the Kourou cosmodrome (French Guiana) on 30 April, 2014.    

The satellite can capture with resolution of up to 1 meter (in panchromatic mode) and up to 4 meters (in the multispectral mode).

Space days in Kazakhstan
International seminar “Space days in Kazakhstan”, which is organized by JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” is devoted to the creation and operation of the Earth remote sensing space system of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ERS SS RK). The objective of the seminar: exchange of experience with the world leaders in ERS systems, informing of large public about possibility to apply products and services of ERS SS and HSNS of the Republic of Kazakhstan to solve industry problems of the economy of Kazakhstan.
