The International Forum "Kazakhstan's Path to Space: Realities and Prospects - 2017", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, which took place on October 19-20 this year, ended in Astana.
The Forum was organized by the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the event was the exchange of experience in using the results of space activity to solve the problems of the economic sectors, the study of the space activity over the past decade, as well as the discussion of the prospects for the development of the space industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Let us recall that the annual Seminar
"Space Days in Kazakhstan", launched four years ago, in 2017 was
transformed into the International Forum with the expansion of its
participants' borders and consideration of large-scale tasks.
More than 500 representatives of space agencies and state bodies, famous scientists, specialists of leading world companies in the field of space technology from more than 20 countries (France, Russia, Great Britain, Ukraine, Belarus, China, UAE, Korea, etc.) participated in the event this year.
The work of the forum was attended by the top-management of MDAI RK, deputies of the Senate and Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, cosmonauts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of foreign embassies (France, Italy, etc.) in Kazakhstan, the strategic partners of the Republic of Kazakhstan (state corporation in the field of space activities Roscosmos, "Airbus Defense and Space"), domestic and foreign space organizations (FSUE "Khrunichev Space Research Center", JSC "ISS Reshetnev," "Leica Geosystems, Satrec Initiative", "Eutelsat" and others. ) and many others.
On the sidelines of this event, an Agreement was signed between the Republican Center for Space Communications of the ASC of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the JSC "ISS Reshetnev "(Russia) on cooperation about band capacity at orbital position 86.5 degrees East in the frame of operation of the KazSat-2 spacecraft.
The Memorandum on cooperation for the
construction of the second stage of the national space center in Astana was
signed by the heads of JSC NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" and LLP
"King Development" (Malaysia).
A feature of the current International Forum is the holding in its framework of the scientific conference "Fesenkov Readings on the topic:" Space Science in Kazakhstan: state and prospects", which was held in Astana for the first time.
Within the framework of the conference, scientific and practical seminars were held on the development of methods for monitoring and research of astrophysical objects of distant and near space on the basis of modern information technologies; solar-terrestrial physics and geodynamics; devices and hardware-software means of space techniques and technology; critical issues of aerospace materials science in Kazakhstan; Earth exploration using the methods of space monitoring and geoinformation technologies.
In addition, on the second day of the forum, two section sessions were held on the topics: "Prospects for the development of space technologies and attracting investments in space activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "Enhancing the environmental safety of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Master classes on the effective application of remote sensing data and SVSN were held.
Along with scientific and practical events, today in the framework of the forum, as well as in honor of the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite in the National Space Center in Astana with the support of the International Charity Fund "Dialogue of Cultures - One World", a solemn opening ceremony of the bust of cosmonaut Yu.A. Gagarin - the first person to fly into space took place.

of the ASC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Emergency and Plenipotentiary
Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan Mikhail Bocharnikov and Head
of the Representative Office of the International Charitable Public Foundation

all participated in the event.
Opening the solemn ceremony, the President of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" Yergazy Nurgaliyev greeted all the guests and thanked the initiators of the installation of the bust - the public fund" Dialogue of Cultures - One World".
"In July of this year, representatives of the fund addressed to the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan with a request to open a bust of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin in Astana. On the instructions of Beibut Bakirovich, this request was considered and implemented as soon as possible. In September 2017, an agreement was signed between the Fund and JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary "on the donation of the sculptural composition, and a decision was made to install a monument in the building of the National Space Center. We wholeheartedly thank our Russian friends!"- E. Nurgaliyev said.

Center, became 41 bust of the charitable foundation "Dialogue of Cultures
- One World", dedicated to the first cosmonaut of the Earth, which was
donated to the peoples of the world.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants of the event laid flowers at the bust of Gagarin.
Following the results of the International Forum "Kazakhstan's Path to Space: Realities and Prospects - 2017" the final Resolution of the Forum was signed.
The next event of this format will be held in Astana within the framework of the V International Exhibition of weapons systems and military equipment "Kadex-2018".
