ASTANA. KAZINFORM - In honor of the 20th anniversary of Astana, a white tent - a mobile space exhibition of the French city of Toulouse - is located on the territory of the JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary "on the Avenue of Turan, the correspondent of MIA" Kazinform "reports.
Vice-Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Nurguzhin, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan Philippe Martinet, President of the JSC "NC Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" Yergazy Nurgaliyev and Director of the Toulouse space town Jean-Baptiste Debois attended in the official opening of the French space pavilion in Astana city.
«This is a very important and interesting event on the eve of the 20th anniversary of our capital Astana».
On behalf of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I would like to gratitude the Space Center of Toulouse, the Embassy of France in Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Astana city, the JSC "NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" and the Airbus Defense and Space for this interesting and informative exhibition for residents and guests of Astana city. The organization of a large-scale mobile exhibition to Astana from the south of France has become another evidence of effective cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in the field of space activities. It is no coincidence that this pavilion is located on the territory of the National Space Center", M. Nurguzhin, Vice Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted in his speech.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan Philippe Martinet mentioned Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in his speech.
"Space is a dream for France. The space for the French is connected with the "Little Prince", which keeps its planet. And the space era began precisely from the land of Kazakhstan, from the famous "Baikonur" cosmodrome. Therefore, for cooperation between our countries, the most important is the common dream, our friendship, which is much more important than large contracts and projects. We are very happy, thanks to this exhibition, the people of Kazakhstan will be able to learn about what France can do in the field of space, and how this will be useful for both our states ", - ambassador of France said.
The president of the JSC “NC "Kazakhstan" Gharysh Sapary " Ergazy Nurgaliyev noted that the fact of the opening of the exhibition on the birthday of the National Space Center (NSC) is symbolic. "On July 3, 2018, exactly eight years ago, precisely on that place the first stone of the NSC’s establishment was laid. A whole space town is being created in Astana with the support of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who from the first days pays special attention to the development of space of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the creation of space technologies in Kazakhstan "the head of the national company noted.
The director of the space town of Toulouse, Jean-Baptiste Debois, personally conducted an excursion for the presentation participants on the pavilion of the museum. On an example of exhibits of an exhibition he told about a role of satellite in studying of our planet, management of water resources which are short-lived and invaluable for our Earth.
The exhibition "Between Heaven and Earth" consists of two main thematic expositions: "Comets - the progenitors of planetary systems" and "Water: a view from above".
The exposition "Water: a view from above" is conceived as a journey around the Earth or a fascinating history of water seen from satellites. The central place in it is occupied by a large interactive globe with the function of the projector. This exhibition module will provide a better understanding of the technical capabilities of satellites on the scale of the universe.
The exhibition is divided into 4 thematic spaces that allow to learn more about the water in each of its states: oceans, continental waters, ice and atmosphere.
The exposition "Comets - the progenitors of planetary systems", prepared by the Laboratory for Advanced Studies ESEP (Cosmic study of near-planetary space), is presented in Kazakhstan for the first time. Its content is very relevant in terms of space research, as it introduces information about the latest discoveries provided from the interplanetary station "Rosetta" and its landing gear "Philae", which makes this exhibition unique.
A variety of exhibition exhibits will help to understand that comets are the most important bricks in the formation of our solar system, which play a big role in the contribution of water to the Earth.
Special interest of visitors can be caused by an exposition dedicated to the space mission "Rosetta". The program of observation and study of the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, to which the orbital flight vehicle "Rosetta" orbiter and the landing gear "Philae" was simultaneously sent, was developed by the European Space Agency.
This European interplanetary mission with landing on a comet and conducting analysis directly at the location, was the first in the world. Starting in 2004, the mission of Rosetta reached the comet for 10 years, breaking 7 billion kilometers, provides unique observations and data to scientists who are studying and deciphering them.
The exhibition presents a model (in ¼ scale) of "Rosetta" and the exact reproduction of the surface of the site of the comet "Churyumov-Gerassimenko".
The exhibition presents unique models, video materials, interactive stands and panels, information panels and other exhibits that will help visitors better understand the celestial objects, as well as learn about the important role played in the formation of the solar system.
The central place of the exhibition space is occupied by a unique installation provided by the JSC "NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary".
An amazing exhibition provided by the French city of Toulouse, which is famous for its world-famous open-air museum, awaits Astana residents and all guests of the capital from today, July 4, 2018, from 10 am to 10 pm. The space exhibition is located on Turan avenue, 89, on the territory of the JSC "NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" and will last until September 23, 2018.
