ASTANA. KAZINFORM – During the visit of representatives of the Netherlands Space Office (NSO) to Kazakhstan they visited the National Space Center (NSC).
The representatives of the JSC «NC «Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary», the head office of which is situated in the territory of NSC met the Dutch delegation preceded by the Director of NSO Nieuwpoort Gerrit.
The Deputy Chairman of the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the RK (ASC MID RK) Meirbek Moldabekov welcoming the guests noted that on the basis of agreements made between the Kazcosmos and NSO have good opportunities to cooperate in the space and geoinformation sectors, including the application of remote sensing satellite technologies in agriculture, ecology, energy and infrastructure.
Acting President of the «NC «Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary» Marat Nurguzhin acquainted the guests with activities of the Company, which is the national operator of the Earth remote sensing space system and High accuracy satellite navigation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan (HSNS).
The Director of the Netherlands space office noted the opportunities of Dutch technologies of the Earth remote sensing have been placed and the issue on long-term cooperation in this field has been considered during the meeting with the Top Management of the Aerospace Committee of MID RK. «Now we are talking about the realistic way of cooperation between the enterprises of the space industry of the Kingdom of Netherlands and the JSC «NC «Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary» has a modern ERS space system» said G. Nieuwpoort.
Following the negotiations the Parties agreed to develop the list of joint pilot projects. The experts will jointly develop the business plan for the purpose of creation the joint venture in Kazakhstan on application of ERS data and use of space technologies for economic development.
At the end of visit to NSC the Top Managers of the JSC «NC «Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary» and Dutch cooperative-company NEVASCO has signed the collaboration agreement.
Dutch space industry has over 60 small and medium-sized enterprises, research institutes and universities.
