ASTANA. KAZINFORM. – During the 1st quarter of 2016 more than 1 thousand images, obtained with the Earth remote sensing space system (ERS SS) of RK were provided to the state agencies of Kazakhstan, as informed by the press-service of Kazcosmos.
As it was noted in press-release, today JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” (“KGS”) of the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry for Investments and Development of RK provides space images to the state bodies and organizations of the Republic on free of charge basis.
In accordance with republican budget sub-program “Services to provide satellite imagery to state bodies and organizations, received from the ERS SS RK”, 1 108 space images from high resolution satellite of ERS SS RK “KazEOSat-1” were granted at the period of 1st quarter 2016.
In accordance with applications, images were transferred to such state agencies as the Office of the Prosecutor General of RK, Committee of Emergency Situations of MIA RK, Civil Aviation Committee of MID RK, Roads Committee of MID RK, Center of MIC of MD RK, Ministry of Energy of RK, West Kazakhstan DIA of MIA RK, as reported in the press-release.
247 satellite images obtained from “KazEOSat-2” medium resolution satellite of ERS SS RK were directed to the Department of Criminal Police of MIA RK, to the center of MIC of MD RK, Committee of Emergency Situations of MIA RK and to the Ministry of Energy of RK.
Within the framework of the provision of consulting services to create geoproducts with high added value and geo-services based on space images provided, sectoral consultations were held. In particular, we are talking about space monitoring of agricultural production by the State inspection committee in the agricultural sector of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Also the training of representatives of government agencies on the use of ERS SS RK products was successfully conducted, on the results of which the certificates were issued. At present, specialists of JSC "NC" KGS" are consulting employees of state agencies, who were trained in ERS, as per the press-service of Kazkosmos.
