LIST OF GEOPRODUCTS AND PROCESSING TYPES

Initial Geoproduct:
Title Description of processing types
L1 The images of processing level L1 represents the digital space images including the radiometric correction.
The images are not leaded to any projection.
The images of processing level L1 are used to create the L3 –L5 products
L2 The images of processing level L2 represents the digital space images including the radiometric, geometric (sensor) correction.
The images issued for mapping projection.
Value-added Geoproducts:
L3 The images of processing level L3 represents the digital space images including the radiometric, geometric correction.
The images issued for mapping projection.
The images ortho-rectified (the image has been amended for relief) using the digital elevation model (DEM).
The product is presented as:
  • scenes or scanned swath;
  • scene of the territory according to the shape-file sent by Customer;
Pansharpening (optionally, enhanced multispectral image);
The use of ground control points (optionally, if any).
L4 Digital surface model (DSM) and digital elevation model (DEM).
The product is issued for mapping projection.
The product is presented as:
  • scenes;
  • scene of the territory according to the shape-file sent by Customer.
L5 The images of processing level L5 represents the mosaic created from the geoproducts L3 or L4.
The product is provided as follows:
  • mosaic;
Pansharpening (optional, enhanced multispectral image).

DISCRIPTION OF GEOPRODUCTS

Initial geoproducts:

L1 – basic processing level product including only the geometric and radiometric correction. Along with the image the metadata file is provided. This product is counted on experienced users – photogrammetrists who willing to conduct individually the photogrammetric reduction process;

L2 – space image including the geometric and radiometric correction. Along with the image the metadata file is provided. The images issued for mapping projection.

Value-added Geoproducts:

L3 – the product represents the ortho-rectified image using the L4 products or others DSM (DEM). The product is produced for the thematic mapping projects of vast areas (districts, regions) which do not require the high level accuracy. It can be also used to update the topographic maps of mean and geographic scales. Creation of district and regional GIS. It can be also used the L3 products for high accuracy mapping with the ground control points (GCP).

L4 – the product represents the DSM or DEM. It is used for ortho-rectified data of ERS, or information extraction about terrain relief (in type of horizontal).

L5 – the product of high processing level represents the mosaic from the L3 level ortho-rectified space images. It is also possible to create the mosaic from L4 product.

Space days in Kazakhstan
International seminar “Space days in Kazakhstan”, which is organized by JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” is devoted to the creation and operation of the Earth remote sensing space system of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ERS SS RK). The objective of the seminar: exchange of experience with the world leaders in ERS systems, informing of large public about possibility to apply products and services of ERS SS and HSNS of the Republic of Kazakhstan to solve industry problems of the economy of Kazakhstan.
