JSC “NC” “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” Participates in the Kazakhstan–Nigerian Business Conference in Abuja
Abuja, Nigeria – February 23, 2025 – As part of the official visit of the Kazakhstani delegation to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Managing Director of JSC “NC” “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary”, Amanat Umbetbayev, is participating in the Kazakhstan–Nigerian Business Conference, organized with the support of the Yoruba people’s King in Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitana Ogunwusi. The delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan is headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alibek Kuantirov.
The primary objective of the event is to strengthen trade and economic ties, attract investments, and develop strategic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Nigeria. The conference is attended by representatives of government agencies, business enterprises, and investment companies from both countries.
JSC “NC” “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” is showcasing its projects in the fields of satellite technologies, digital solutions, and geoinformation systems, while also exploring opportunities for cooperation with Nigerian partners in space technologies and telecommunications. In particular, discussions with representatives of Nigeria’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Communications have focused on the potential for collaboration in remote sensing of the Earth, satellite communications, and the joint development of innovative solutions for various sectors of the economy.
“Kazakhstan possesses significant potential in the field of space technologies, and we see mutual interest on both sides in exchanging expertise and innovative solutions. A joint approach to addressing strategic issues will not only expand our cooperation in satellite data and digitalization but also lay the foundation for further development of the space and telecommunications sectors,” said Amanat Umbetbayev.
During the business conference, issues such as simplifying the visa regime between the two countries, establishing direct air links, and expanding cooperation in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and fintech solutions were also discussed.
At the conclusion of the event, both parties expressed their readiness to further develop the partnership and to sign cooperation agreements in promising areas, including the IT sector, agriculture, the energy complex, and subsoil use.
Additional meetings between representatives of JSC “NC” “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” and Nigerian business and government officials are scheduled in the coming days as part of the energy forum currently taking place in Abuja.
